Based on your professional experience, please reflect and elaborate on the field of health promotion across academics and practice.

Mother Class as Health Promotion Across Academics and Practice for Pregnant Women in rural Area, Karawang West Java Indonesia. 
As a lecturer in health promotion courses in the midwifery study program, the National Polytechnic of Health Bandung Ministry of Health, Republic of Indonesia, required to be able to continue to have innovations in presenting effective health promotion models in the field of maternal health, especially the health of pregnant women. The intended health promotion model is of course also expected to have a strong impact on improving the mother's clean and healthy lifestyle behavior during pregnancy, because healthy behavior during pregnancy will have a good effect on the outcome. Multiple pieces of literature support the statement made above maternal health behaviors during pregnancy are a key point in fetal health and child development in the future (Auerbach et al., 2014; Ma et al., 2020; Savitz et al., 2012).
Indonesia is an archipelagic country and has clear boundaries between villages and cities. Pregnant women living in rural Indonesia have different needs from pregnant women living in urban areas (Laksono & Wulandari, 2020). This is due to the influence of rural geography which has the potential to become an obstacle for pregnant women to meet their health needs 
including self-examination during pregnancy, and antenatal care (Efendi et al., 2017; Titaley et al., 2010; Wulandari & Laksono, 2019). In addition to geographical constraints, issues of economic status, education, and the patriarchal system still strongly influence the healthy behavior of pregnant women in rural areas (Laksono & Wulandari, 2020; Wulandari et al., 2020).
As an effort to promote health among pregnant women in rural areas, the mother class program was launched. Mother class, this project aims to be a promotive and preventive health effort to increase knowledge, attitudes, and behavior of pregnant women so that healthy behavior is formed to prevent pregnancy complications. This activity is of course accompanied by midwives on duty in the village in each working area of the Public Health Center. Health promotion activities among pregnant women are provided with methods in the form of counseling, discussion, and educational games which are expected to increase the mother's knowledge of healthy behavior and change unhealthy behavior to become healthy.
Based on the six core competencies for health promotion practitioners' that I got at the Asia Pacific Health Promotion Capacity Building Workshop in Taipei 2020, I can evaluate the mother class project in rural Karawang Indonesia as follows:
1.Program planning, implementation, and evaluation competencies
Planning, so far, the planning has been going well. Through mapping, the number of pregnant women is based on potential problems (Identify the problem or Issues) then make priorities based on the category of gestational age, needs, and complaints felt by them (determining priorities and analyzing selected problems/issues to be tackled). In its implementation, this mother's class activity is accompanied by a midwife who is on duty at every Public Health Center in the rural area where pregnant women live (identify resources and constraints). The methods carried out in this activity are counseling, peer discussion, consultation about pregnancy, pregnancy exercise, supplementary 
feeding, and educational games as encouragement (identify alternative strategies set goals, program objectives, and activities).
Implementation, formulation of strategies for implementing mother's class with 5W+1H. (Why and What) The expected effect of the mother class which is expected to run regularly is to prevent the occurrence of dangers of pregnancy and childbirth (Who) This activity involves the midwife on duty and the participation of cadres in each Public Health Center in the area. Karawang, West Java. (When) This activity will be carried out regularly and regularly every month. (How) While the method used is the mother's class, namely counseling, peer discussion, consultation, pregnancy exercise, adding additional food, and some games that can build the spirit of pregnant women. (How much) To estimate costs, advocacy can be carried out to fund holders so that the costs of providing pregnant women are included in the budget supported by the local government and existing partnerships with one example of a CSR program in an industrial company in Karawang, West Java Indonesia.
Evaluation, the evaluation phase will refer to the principles of effectiveness, efficiency, feasibility, and adequacy. At this evaluation stage, we see that this class of mothers has great leverage in reducing maternal mortality due to danger signs during pregnancy and childbirth.
2.Partnership-building competencies
Building partnerships is a positive thing to do, and the mother class in the rural area of Karawang has built partners with independent practice midwives, and several industrial companies in the Karawang area of West Java as a Corporate social responsibility program.
3.Communication and report writing competencies
In this case, it is still felt inadequate for pregnant women in rural areas. Given their educational background, most of them only reached junior high school, of course, this is a challenge for me and the other team of midwives to 
continue to find suitable methods to explore the potential of existing pregnant women.
4.Technology competencies
Since this mother's class activity is in a rural area, the technological competence used is still simple and limited. Such as the maternal and child health (MCH) manual that they have is always an indicator of their health.
5.Knowledge competencies
For the competence of knowledge is sufficient. Health workers, namely midwives who accompany the process of running this project, have good educational backgrounds, skills, and experience in their fields. So that the process of knowledge transfer through communication can be built properly.

I hope that for the next meeting the Asia Pacific Health Promotion forum will be able to present speakers who have the capacity to talk about countries that already have good health promotion in their national health systems.
